Toonie Stamps

Toonie Stamps is a love letter to Toronto. At the start of 2025, I moved from the UK to Toronto, Canada. Before moving, I decided I wanted to document my time in Canada through some sort of creative medium. Stamps have always interested me, these little nodes of place and time. So I have used them as the canvas for this series of illustrations. I started sketching out stamps of different places I found throughout the city.  The project documents my experiences of Toronto food, places and events that have formed my time in the city as a newcomer. Each stamp is a piece of this ongoing story.
